The Wealthfront Data Science Team utilizes our rich financial and behavioral data to influence key product and marketing decisions, as well as to safeguard our client’s information and assets. The team draws from backgrounds in Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics, and Natural Sciences. We value analytical rigor, clear communication, and proactivity. We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with Networking expertise to join our Infrastructure team, where you will work with hardware and networking across our data centers, offices, and the cloud to build and maintain critical financial systems. Wealthfront’s Infrastructure team is a team of “Generalists with Expertise” who adhere to the principles of infrastructure-as-code and automation. We operate both physical servers and cloud-based computing, and our network spans both environments. About The Role As a member of the Networking team, you will play a key role in shaping future network architecture. You operate comfortably across hardware and software boundaries, writing code to automate infrastructure and bringing strategic expertise to designing, implementing, and maintaining systems. You approach Networking problems with a bias towards vendor-agnostic IaC solutions.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our Devops Platform team, where you will blend linux system administration and software engineering skills to build and maintain all our infrastructure and core services running in our data centers and the cloud. Wealthfront’s Infrastructure team is a team of “Generalists with Expertise” who adhere to DevOps principles by building software and services to automate all infrastructure operations. Our objective is to empower all our developers to build and own their systems end-to-end. We're a modern infrastructure engineering team, believing strongly in testing, automation, and standardization through software. We operate in both physical data centers and AWS environments, and leverage open source technologies such as containers, MariaDB, NGINX, Jenkins, and Chef, as well as build tools and services using Go and Java to deliver automated infrastructure to our engineers and ultimately serve our clients.
