Job Category: Information Technology POSITION PURPOSE : Manages, monitors and maintains all related Information Security systems. Reviews, recommends, configures and implements Information Security solutions for the Company. Performs daily administration of information security hardware and software such as intrusion detection/intrusion prevention, firewalls, encryption, anti-virus, log reviews and other software or appliances. Handles escalated security issues. Maintains the security infrastructure by employing best industry practices. Performs tests of computer systems to monitor effectiveness of security systems. Analyzes information security threats, requests and audit findings. Provides recommendations to resolve issues and/or findings. Partners with end-users to understand and adhere to information security policies and procedures. Collaborates with external vendors and partners as necessary to resolve issues/incidents. Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Specialty training beyond high school in Information Technology, Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 3 years related information security and/or IT networking experience. PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Information Technology. At least 5 years related Information Security and/or IT networking experience. Certification in GSEC, CCNA/NP/DA, Any SANS Certification and/or CISSP. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Critical aspects include application and integration requirements, architecture, development, QA, and lifecycle management. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered 5+ years as enterprise-wide and critical platform IT leader, responsible for operational performance of critical systems 5+ years in IT leadership, delivering transformational changes within regulated environments (aviation, transportation, shipping/delivery, etc.) 5+ years in roles as an upline manager of managers, with experience developing individuals into roles with increased span Hands-on technical experience with previous roles in architecture, software engineering, platform team leadership, QA leadership, data/BI development, or similar. Direct experience with enterprise stakeholder roadmap planning, relationship development, and alignment PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Experience with cloud platforms, data/BI platforms, integration architecture, software engineering, DevOps practices, QA, automation, vendor management, and enterprise architecture (TOGAF or similar) Successful use of AI and related technologies (generative and agentic AI, RPA, machine learning) to improve operational efficiency delivery of IT solutions and/or business operations Experience with continuous improvement tools/methods Work with ITIL or similar frameworks to leverage principles as appropriate LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or situations. Polished executive presence with an ability to influence across technical and non-technical audiences.
