About the role: As a senior member of the engineering team you will be instrumental in planning, designing, and implementing applications that will scale with EverQuote systems. In this role, you will build applications and services that meet the needs of the business while also being scalable, performant and easy to maintain. This is a full-stack role with a backend focus, where you will be expected to take full ownership of large pieces of business critical functionality. What you bring to the team: 5+ years of professional programming experience including experience at a software product company. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. Experience in one or more of the following languages Typescript, Golang, Python or other server side languages. You have worked in a microservice-based architecture and are proficient in Docker and Kubernetes. Experience building, deploying and monitoring cloud based applications, systems & infrastructure at scale (ideally on AWS). Deep experience designing systems and communicating designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Nice to have: You are passionate about sharing knowledge and mentoring teammates. The base salary offered for this position is determined by several factors, including the applicant’s job-related skills, relevant experience, education or training, and work location. As a senior engineer, you will be instrumental in architecting, building, and scaling systems that power our core business.
